Give Your Smile a Winning Makeover

Our cosmetic dentistry services can turn imperfect smiles into works of art.

Of course, there’s never any harm in being a happy, positive person; however, there are several other reasons why smiling is good for you. In fact, smiling can lower stress and anxiety, release endorphins (the chemicals that make you happy), and strengthen your immunity (to ward away pesky germs and infections). Not to mention the countless other advantages that come with smiling; however, when your teeth are less than perfect, it can be hard to conjure up even a half-hearted smile. If you’re dealing with chipped, cracked, misaligned or stained teeth, let one of our cosmetic dentistry services in Northern Kentucky turn your lackluster smile into something to smile about. cosmetic dentistry services

Teeth Whitening

If you’re a professed coffee lover, then you may have the dental stains to prove it. The foods and drinks we consume can take quite a toll on our smiles. If yellowing teeth has you embarrassed, turn to teeth whitening. Our professional system can get smiles up to eight shades whiter in less than an hour. No over-the-counter product can promise the same instant results. In just one visit you could leave our Kentucky dental office with a visibility brighter smile.

Dental Veneers

For those with minor gaps, chips and crooked teeth, dental veneers are a great, non-invasive way to hide these little imperfections. Dental veneers are thin porcelain shells that unlike dental crowns only go over the front of your teeth. Some of your natural tooth’s enamel will be shaved down to accommodate these wafer-thin shells, which will be specially cemented to your teeth. A local anesthesia will also be used to numb the area around your tooth.

Dental veneers are not for everyone, however. Nail biting and teeth grinding can fracture and damage veneers. Talk to your cosmetic dentist to see if veneers are the best choice for you.

Dental Bonding

If the idea of shaving down your enamel gives you the shivers, then dental bonding might be a better alternative. A tooth-colored resin is applied to problem teeth and hardened with a specialized light to bond the resin to your tooth. Dental bonding is great for those with chips, cracks, minor gaps, as well as those looking to change the shape of their teeth for aesthetic reasons. Bonding is also great for those who want little dental preparation and alterations beforehand. Anesthesia is not often needed with dental bonding.

Contouring and reshaping

This is a conservative dental treatment for changing the shape of your teeth. Unlike with some of the other treatments above, however, contouring your smile is for more subtle and minor changes. It will not dramatically change your smile. It’s best used for removing minor overlaps and other imperfections that could cause plaque to build up. Just like with dental bonding, anesthesia is typically not necessary.

If any of these cosmetic treatments interest you, then be sure to give our Northern Kentucky office a call. We would love to sit down with you and discuss your options.
