Meet our new team member Lauren!

June is always an exciting month with the start of summer, pool days, grill outs and other fun summer events. At Dental BLU we have even more of a reason to be excited this month – a new hygienist! Starting on the 25th of June you’ll be seeing a new face in our office and we are so excited to write this month’s blog post all about our new team member!

Meet Lauren:

Lauren is a recent graduate from The University of Louisville Dental Hygiene Program; she grew up in Fort Thomas, KY and graduated from Highlands High School.

Lauren is a Registered Dental Hygienist and is also certified in local anesthesia. She has a passion for service trips and has served in a RAM clinic in Hazard, KY and recently went on a dental service trip to Romania. Lauren is compassionate, positive, and a hard worker! She is very kind and we know you will love her as much as we do!

The thing Lauren loves most about being a dental hygienist is interacting with her different patients and building relationships with each of them. Her favorite thing to do outside of work is to spend time with her friends and family. A fun fact about Lauren is that her grandma is from Ecuador! She loves traveling down to Ecuador as often as possible to visit her.

We are so excited to have Lauren at Dental BLU and know she is going to make a great addition to our team!

Dear Friends,

I have some exciting news to share about our office and wanted you to be the first to hear. I have decided to give our office a name that reflects my mission statement. "Creating healthy, beautiful patient at a time."

I want to assure you that nothing but the name of our practice is changing. As the owner of the practice, I will continue to provide the highest level of care to all our patients with the support of Dr. Arlinghaus and our always wonderful team.

Over the next few months you will start seeing the name of our practice transitioning to DENTALBLU. I chose this name to give our practice an identity that would stand out from the crowd and reflect how we care for our patients. "DENTAL" helps define the office as a practice. "BLU" reflects our mission statement.

B stands for "beautiful" and our commitment to our patients to help them achieve their most radiant smiles.

L stands for "lifelong" and our mission to help our patients maintain optimal oral health for their lifetime.

U stands for "unique smiles" and communicates our belief that every patient is unique and they deserve individual care that meets their personal needs.

I believe our name is a great way for us to share with our community the way we approach care for our patients.

As a patient, you will see very little change in your interaction with our office. Our website can be accessed via or Over the next few months our building sign and letterhead will also be updated. Should you have any questions, please let us know.

Lastly, I want to take a moment to say "thank you" for allowing me and my staff to care for you. After 20 years of practice, I find the time I get to spend with my patients to be the most rewarding part of my career.
